Lichfield CathedralSituated to the North West of Birmingham and midway between the county town of Stafford, Uttoxeter and Rugeley this is a logical destination for those living in the great metropolis because airspace makes it impossible to fly over the city of Birmingham itself. Home to the 6th Earl of Lichfield, the previous Earl who passed away in 2005 was better known as the photographer Patrick Lichfield. This National Trust property has regular attractions and events to view as you float away from its grounds.

For balloon rides from the beautiful Trentham Park Estate contact UK Balloons This is to the north of the county and just south of Newcastle Under Lyme and Stoke on Trent, home of the "Potteries" and in particular the world famous Wedgwood, Royal Doulton and Spode china.

The county of Staffordshire is also home to two of the largest theme parks in the country, Alton Towers and Drayton Manor Park.
