Castle Hedingham is a small village in Essex, England, located near the town of Halstead. It is most notable for the historic Hedingham Castle, which dates back to the Norman Conquest and is one of the best-preserved examples of a Norman motte-and-bailey castle in England. Visitors to the castle can tour the remains of the keep, castle walls, and other structures, as well as take in the views from the top of the motte. Additionally, the castle grounds often host events such as medieval reenactments and festivals.
