Castle Pleshey is a ruined medieval castle located in the village of Pleshey, Essex, England. It was built in the late 12th century and was one of the homes of the powerful de Vere family. The castle was sacked during the Peasants' Revolt of 1381 and later fell into disrepair. Today, visitors can explore the ruins and take in the history of the castle and its significance to the surrounding area.
